The Checkered Flag

There are just two small steps left and you have successfully finished the research project.

Let's recap what we've done so far:

1.) Developed a hypothesis and determined the focus for the project
2.) Created an outline and did some prewriting to get a feel for how the paper will flow
3.) Researched to find the sources necessary to back up your arguments
4.) Initial writing to get an idea for the flow of the paper and give yourself a starting point
5.) Revised that initial writing to improve the structure of the paper

That puts us to our final step which is putting the finishing touches on the paper and preparing it to turn in.

There are two steps in that process.

1.) Re-read your paper one final time. At this point you probably have it sounding exactly the way you want it to but it doesn't hurt to run through it one more time.

2.) Create the bibliography/works cited list that will be the final pages of the paper. This will indicate where you found your sources.

The good thing about step 2 there is that you already have that accomplished. We did that in step 3 where we compiled your sources. You may need to make some adjustments to the bibliography depending on if you added sources or not.

Step 1 should move pretty quickly because at this point you should basically have what you want the paper to be.

YOUR MISSION:

Two parts: The first step is you have a week to make any final adjustments and turn your paper in by the end of the school day.

The second step then is to relax and be proud of yourself. You took on a seemingly impossible task and made it through.

Congratulations.
